The agricultural tyre specialist

Sometimes you are pleasantly surprised discovering places where super professional work is done. This is the case of Esneagri, a company based in Villarrobledo (Albacete), which focuses its activity on the import and distribution of agricultural tyres with its more than 200 distributors in central and southern Spain... as their name indicates and they reiterate, they are the agricultural tyre specialist in Spain. We will tell you more about Esneagri and show you our visit to its facilities.

Esneagri was founded in 2010 by siblings Jose Antonio, Amparo and Julia Vargas. This is the second generation related to the world of tyres because his father is the founder of Pinchazos Vargas. It is the only national distributor of agricultural tyres, which is currently working with 8 brands (Trelleborg, Mitas, Vredestein, Alliance, Cultor, Continental, BKT, GRI) providing them with about 400 references of agricultural tyres. In their facilities located in Villarrobledo (Albacete) they own a 18,000 m2 warehouse where they have some 20,000 agricultural tyres in stock to supply their workshops in less than 24 hours. Another surprise that you notice talking to José Antonio (Manager) is that his work focuses on ensuring that his number of distributors grows so that the final customer, the farmer, has the best service.

On the other hand the most pleasant and sustainable surprise consist of its line of "green tires". This section is dedicated to used tyres and new tyres that are no longer in production. They have a large supply of such tyres for tractors, trailers, implements, etc. which are rarely used by farmers. Another example would be when you break a tyre and don't want to change to a new one in order to continue using the tyre on the other wheel, etc. The tyre is very well labelled and you have a very attractive price option. In fact, we recently bought one for our trailer, a new Michelin tyre at a super reduced price.

Alternatively, one more differentiating activity they perform/carry out is the transformation of tractors. In other words, when a farmer needs to adapt his tractor tires to a crop, Esneagri is the true specialist in the process. Another surprise, because they can do whatever transformation.

Demoagro 2023

Good, memorable, fantastic,...? we would not know the best way to describe the Demoagro 2023 edition that took place in Rueda (Valladolid) a few weeks ago. Maybe fantastic because everyone (visitors and exhibitors) told us that they were pleased. And the success was the large number of visitors (more than 32,000 visitors), in our humble opinion, because in terms of organisation, machinery on display (75 exhibitors with more than 800 machines in motion), how to visit the farm fair (perhaps the fields were smaller, in total 80ha), was quite similar to past editions... the food court worked fine and that encourages people to stay at the farm fair whole day.

But above all, it has been a good edition because people were looking forward to the farm fair, they were expectant to see machinery in motion after these years of pandemic and no fairs (despite the fact that the agronomic year will be disastrous due to the severe drought). Therefore, congratulations to all visitors, exhibitors and ANSEMAT. We had a great time.... We had similar feelings to those we had in the first edition in 2013.

It has also been demonstrated that the best area for the celebration is Castilla y León (we believe that the organisation has already fixed this area for successive editions). Farmers in this community are the most mobilised, perhaps because they are mainly cereal farmers and also grow woody crops. We took the opportunity to tell an anecdote with a young farmer from our area, who told us that he was not going to Demoagro because he had nothing to buy, to which we replied that the farm fair is about learning. If you want to buy, you can, but the aim is to see what's new, ask questions and learn to apply it to your present and future work. Perhaps the farmers of Castilla y León have this vision and then the farm fair has more visitors than in other areas.

Perhaps the most innovative are the Naïo robots. They seem not to be very robust and that it is still an initial version, but it has certainly been the most innovative thing that will surely evolve in the future.
The Kubota fields also caught our attention. The incorporation of Kverneland-Kubota implements has given them a very important plus, going from having only basic tractors to having fully technological machines.
We were able to see some new tractors, such as the Fendt 728 Gen7, Valtra Q305 Unlimited Edition, John Deere 5130 ML Narrow, Deutz Fahr 6150.4 TTV Agrotron, Case IH Optum 340 AFS Connect™, etc. and the spectacular John Deere X9 1100 combine harvester.
John Deere crop tunnel was also very interesting. A quick way to see all the tools and technologies they have for each stage of the crop life cycle.
Digital solutions, such as telemetry technology, fleet management, agronomic management, field notebook, mobile apps, etc., (Agriculture 4.0) which John Deere has been using for years and which other manufacturers are now promoting.
We were able to see many Spanish manufacturers, such as Sembradoras Gil, Gaher Metalic, Ovlac, Solá, General, Gascón, etc., are progressing and perfecting their machines more and more until they have products of the highest quality.
