Fercam 2013

Last week, Fercam held its 53rd edition. In our opinion, it finished with a great result because this farm fair showed a large variety of machinery again and personally, we liked it a lot. The enclosure is a nice place which is absolutely neat, with a lot of trees where you can walk and enjoy farming machinery.

We would like to highlight its four seccions: farming machinery, old machinery, cattle (manchego sheeps and goats) and a manchego food exhibition. Regarding farming machinery, this section had the last models of tractors and a diversity of tools (seed drills, chissel ploughs, trailers, sprayers,...). We liked the old machinery seccion too much and we could meet tractors which were used by our father 40 years ago... nice exhibition!!. According to the manchego cattle, we cannot speak so much about that because unfortunately we don't know this matter. The stand of manchego food (cheese, olive oil, wine, ham, sausage, lamb,...) was fantastic and we could taste a lot of products and all of them were really delicious.

About machinery, since this farm fair is carried out in a vineyard area, we could see a few 2WD tractors models for vineyard like Hew Holland TD5 or Deutz-Fahr Agrofarm. This kind of tractors aren't very common in our area where there isn't a lot of vineyard so it is always interesting for us. About seed drills, Maschio Gaspardo showed its Evatris seeding machine,  honestly we liked it, a mixture of strength, design and technology. There are lots of trailers made of stainless steel for the vintage (these trailers are expensive but very hygienic).

    Hello friends,

I think you enjoy yourselves a lot with this kind of fairs, aren't you?
In my opinion each fair has something special, and this time I would like to remark the Manchego products section.

How many types of olive oil could you find there, a hundred, more or less?

Thank you for sharing your experiences...

    Best regards,
    TRICAMA

    Hola amigos,

    Saludos,
    TRICAMA
