Another edition more and a further extraordinary farm fair: it could be the summary. As every year, the farm fair improves every aspects of farm technology. In my opinion, Fima (it is a biannual show) is the second best farm fair in Europe, after Agritechnica. This year is 37th edition and the farm fair got a new visitors record: more than 210,000 people walked along ten halls of Zaragoza Fair whose surface is about 133,000m2. Approximately 1,200 companies showed their technical innovations and all their products. I would like to highlight lots of companies had whole models of all their different products.
We could see unusual technical innovations, as leveling axle of Fendt combine or the great Deutz-Fahr TTV 7250 (with 260HP). This tractor has a new Italian fashion design and it has a new cab which is like a gorgeous car cabin...it is a real luxury. The 6R, 7R and 8R series of John Deere are tractors which impacted positively on us. Spectacular design: extremely aggressive.
In order to make reference to the biggest machinery, we can highlight CASE IH 550 and CASE IH 350 tractors. Huge size and really great design. I think CASE IH 550 is not made for Spanish market because its dimensions are stratospheric. About combines, CASE IH 7230 and John Deere S650i are the largest in the farm fair. Their cabs are really great with all sort of amenities to work with them. The biggest machinery we have never seen was the Gregoire G10 olive harvester, we would like to work with on the field.
Finally, we would like to talk about high quality which is notable at first sight in brands like Amazone, Lemken, MX, Stoll, Kverneland, Väderstad, Horsch, Razol, Ovlac, Hardi, Solá, Lamusa, Solano-Horizonte,... The power of these brands are super contrasted, however we like mentioning local and regional brands which day by day work very hard to offer first-class products, as Juansa or Aperos Quílez who, from my village, manufactures their products and they have its own stand in this farm fair.
